Born and educated in England, Peter finished his dual intensive care and anaesthesia training in New Zealand longer ago than he really cares to admit! He then worked in South Auckland for many years, prior to moving to Qatar.
Throughout his clinical work, he has been actively involved in education and teaching. His particular interests are in human factors training and clinical leadership, as well as the treatment of sepsis and burns.
Out of hospital, he teaches around the World with the BASIC critical care group - setting up and running courses both in hospitals and in pre-hospital settings, mostly in low resource settings. He has previously worked in aero-medical retrievals, both domestically and internationally.
He worked at Wembley Stadium for several years - and also at the Rugby World Cup, IAAF World Championships, various other sporting events - including training the medical teams for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, for which he also worked pitchside. He is currently completing his Masters in Extreme Medicine.
His passions are travel, diving, skiing and most adventure sports, dogs, friends and family.
