A sports physiotherapist from Portugal, with nearly two decades of experience in elite sport and an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Bath, is introduced here.
For the past 10 years, a base has been established at Aspetar, where work has been carried out with clubs and within the rehabilitation department. Currently, participation is held in the Riadh Assessment & Movement Analysis Lab (RAMAL), while athletes continue to be treated in clinical practice.
At RAMAL, unbiased systematic testing is conducted, with a special interest in the knee and ankle. Cutting-edge technology is used to deliver comprehensive biomechanical reports, through which individualized rehabilitation programs are guided, clinical decision-making is supported, and evidence-based, data-driven strategies are integrated to ensure safe and effective return-to-play.
Before Aspetar, experience was gained in Portugal with elite clubs and Olympic athletes, where pitch-side care was combined with long-term rehabilitation.
