Originally from Greece, Alexandros stefatos has been working at Aspetar Hospital since 2015 as a Sports Physiotherapist within the National Sports Medicine Programme (NSMP) department. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, and a Master’s degree in Advancing Physiotherapy Practice.
He is currently awaiting submission of his PhD at Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. His research focuses on applying risk management principles in a male youth football academy to help mitigate injury risks.
His primary role involves advanced-phase rehabilitation of long-term traumatic injuries in adolescent male football players at Aspire Academy. Since 2021, he has also led the Injury and Illness Surveillance Program and recently joined the ASPREV team at Aspetar.
Beyond his professional achievements, he is a proud father of a baby girl and remains actively involved in sports, which he considers an integral part of his daily life.
