Senior Registered Nurse - Aspetar

Jacqueline O’Sullivan completed her Nursing studies at UCD/Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. She has over 25 years experience as a Registered General Nurse and has obtained postgraduate specialization in Anaesthesia, PACU and Intensive care Nursing. She joined Aspetar, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, November 2007, as a Senior Registered Nurse in Anaesthesia and in PACU.

She has been a member of the American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor network since 2003, after qualifying as an Instructor and Instructor trainer in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She spent five years teaching full time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a Staff Instructor for Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation, where she advanced to program coordinator for Basic life support and Neonatal resuscitation.

She has a keen interest in education and is a lead instructor on the accredited Aspetar Code Blue workshop. She has also presented and instructed on several of the AFC Sports Physiotherapy courses conducted at Aspetar. (Management of cardiac arrest on the field.)
