Kathryn Fahy PhD MSc is a highly regarded Chartered Physiotherapist, Researcher and Educator from Ireland, currently working in Aspetar’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Department, Doha. She holds a PhD in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with a focus on Rotator Cuff Pathology ensuring a Patient-Centered approach to Rehabilitation.
She spearheaded the design of the CALMeR Cuff Pathway – an evidence-based stepwise approach to managing large to massive rotator cuff tears developed in partnership with patients, clinicians, and researchers to optimize treatment decisions and outcomes.
Prior to her role at Aspetar, Kathryn founded and was the Clinical Director of Elite Performance Physiotherapy and brings extensive clinical experience, gained through her work with Olympic and International athletes as well as Irish Team physiotherapist at UEFA, FINA and World University Games competitions.
At Aspetar, Kathryn works within a world-class, multidisciplinary environment, integrating state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology with clinical best practice. She remains deeply committed to elevating the standards of care for shoulder patients and plays a key role in developing the department’s shoulder rehabilitation pathway through advancing clinical practice and fostering collaborative, evidence-informed rehabilitation strategies.
