Daniele Bonanno is currently the Football Performance Coordinator at Aspire Academy in Qatar, where he manages the integration of the Football Performance & Science Department within the Qatar Star League (QSL) and the Qatar Football Association (QFA).
He previously served as Head of Football Strength & Conditioning at Aspire Academy from 2013 to 2017. With over 20 years of experience in professional football, Daniele has worked as a strength & conditioning coach for top clubs across the GCC region and with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
From 2005 to 2010, he worked at Isokinetic—FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence—as a specialist in field rehabilitation and sports medicine.
Daniele holds a Master’s degree in Sport Science (Italy) and an MBA (UK). He is a certified professional fitness coach and holds a UEFA B Licence from the Italian Football Federation. Since 2014, he has also played a key role in the Aspire in the World Fellows program, contributing to both the organizing and scientific committees. In addition, Daniele has authored several peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals, focusing on football performance and applied sport science.
His unique combination of academic expertise and practical experience makes him a valuable contributor to elite player development and high-performance environments.
