Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Head of the Arthroscopy Unit at Oslo University Hospital

Berte Bøe, MD, PhD, is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in complex shoulder and knee surgery. She is Head of the Arthroscopy Unit at Oslo University Hospital. Dr. Bøe earned her PhD in orthopaedics from the University of Oslo in 2012 and has since authored numerous scientific papers in clinical research, as well as several book chapters.

She is a sought-after speaker and has been invited to present at both national and international meetings, contributing as a faculty member on topics related to both shoulder and knee surgery.

Dr. Bøe currently serves as the 2nd Vice President of ESSKA and is the Past President of the Norwegian Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow. She is an Associate Editor of JISAKOS and serves on the Editorial Boards of AJSMKSSTA, the AJSM Electronic Media Board, and the Video Journal of Sports Medicine. Additionally, she is an active member of three ISAKOS Committees and a committee member of SECEC. She also serves as a reviewer for Arthroscopy.
