Dr. Zainab AlSarraf is an accomplished pharmacy leader with over 15 years of experience in both clinical pharmacy and sports medicine specialty. She joined Aspetar Hospital in 2009 after obtaining her bachelor’s in pharmacy degree from the Royal of College of Surgeons, Ireland, in 2008. She is a holder of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree from Qatar University in 2018. As the Director of Pharmacy at Aspetar Hospital, she ensures the highest standards of patient care and medication management with a focus on providing exceptional pharmaceutical services for athletes and active individuals in hospital settings.
Being a certified Sports Pharmacist (CSP), Dr. Zainab brings her knowledge of doping regulations, safe use of performance-enhancing substances and methods, and injury prevention strategies to provide optimal performance while minimizing risk to athletes.
In addition to her clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Zainab is a passionate advocate for advancing pharmacy practice, frequently presenting at national and international conferences and coaching the future leaders in Pharmacy Practice. She is committed to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the role of pharmacists in the multidisciplinary care of athletes.
