Dr Michael Hayton is one of the world’s leading Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialized exclusively in surgery of the Hand and Wrist. In addition, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool and the University of Salford. He lectures widely on sports injuries of the hand and wrist, and has published peer reviewed articles, written book chapters and edited books on the subject.

He consults privately at the new Spire Manchester Hospital, the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, The HCA Wilmslow Hospital and on the private wing at his NHS base at the world famous Wrightington Hospital in the UK which was the founded by Sir John Charnley, pioneer of the modern hip replacement.

Dr Hayton is the hand and wrist surgeon to many professional sports teams and national sporting bodies and is preparing athletes in a 4th consecutive Olympic cycle.
