Aspetar welcomes ‘Falah’

The mascot toured the hospital and met staff and patients, some of the elite athletes such as Qatari sprinter Mariam Farid, the marathon athlete and European champion Morhad Amdouni, and Algerian Footballer Baghdad Bounedjah.

Aspetar is the national medical services supplier for The 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships, taking place between 27 September and 6 October at Khalifa International Stadium, as well as the world’s first ever Midnight Marathons which will take place along the Corniche.

Aspetar’s ongoing collaboration with the Local Organising Committee of the 2019 World Championships in Athletics is another example of its commitment to helping athletes achieve their full potential during sports events hosted in Qatar.

By supporting such events, Aspetar is cementing its leading role in the prevention and treatment of injury to local, regional and international athletes across all sports.

Aspetar’s experts have a wealth of experience in supporting athletes participating in major tournaments in Qatar, including the 24th Men’s Handball World Championship in 2015, the 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships, the 2016 UCI Road World Championships, FINA world championship and Gymnastic world championship 2017.
