Volume 2 - Issue 3

August 2013
In the third issue in Volume 2 we speak to Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley about injury, his early promise in not golf, but Gaelic football, as well as the importance of kids playing a variety of sports. Articles include sprint running mechanics and ultrasound in wrist and hand injuries. This issue introduces the Sports Dentistry section with papers on sports-related jaw fractures and face masks for athletes with orofacial injuries. We also speak to the President of the FIFA Medical Commission, Michel D’Hooge, on how sports medicine has evolved over the last 25 years.
