Aspetar Sports Nutrition Symposium
Please join us in November for this unique sports nutrition symposium in the Gulf.
Presenting at the symposium will be world leading experts from English Premier League and Great British Boxing, Sacramento University California, Aspetar’s Specialist Sports Nutrition Unit and guests from global high performance focused laboratories working with elite athletes.
Sports nutrition topics to be covered include novel use of nutrition to optimise return to play after injury, Adolescent performance enhancement, strategies for combat sports, supplementation in the GCC and Sports Science.

Nutritionists, Allied Healthcare Professionals, Nurses Physiologists, Strength & Fitness Coaches
Overall Objectives:
At the end of the course, participants will:
- Define how sports nutrition and food science can impact on performance and rehabilitation
- Identify Key challenges in the provision of effective sports nutrition in the Gulf region with elite and recreational athletes
- Establish the best practice approach to manage risks linked to the use of sports nutrition supplementation in the Gulf region
- Describe novel sports nutrition interventions to improve the health and wellbeing of athletes at different stages of training periodization
Statement:
(HGI-03-P31: Aspetar Sports Nutrition Symposium) is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Category 1) as defined by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners - Accreditation Department and is approved for a maximum of 5.25 hours.
The symposium is designed to be highly interactive with a combination of key note sessions, workshops and expert panel discussion. The morning theme is dedicated to sports nutrition for injury and the afternoon specific to performance nutrition.
