Volume 10 - Targeted Topic - Sports Nutrition

May 2021
Sport and most recently the discipline of performance nutrition, has received considerable attention as athletes of all ages attempt to push their limits of performance. However, in a world dominated by social media, it is easy to access nutrition information that lacks evidence, which in some cases, can even put athlete’s health or their careers at risk. This Targeted Topic focuses on practically addressing some areas that are often the basis of performance related conversations involving a diverse age range of competitive athletes in the modern era. The content offers some unique insight not only on how to manage nutrition in certain situations with specific groups. It also explores novel technologies and nutritional interventions for coaches, athletes and organisations who seek improvements in performance using less conventional approaches with nutrition.
