The first issue of 2013 came as the sporting world was reeling in shock at the Lance Armstrong doping case. The cyclist, who had been banned 5 months earlier, finally publically admitted to cheating. The February issue acknowledges the importance of controlling doping in sport with a new section on Sports Pharmacy and an in-depth analysis of the evidence in the Armstrong case. The issue also includes an interview with Thierry Omeyer, considered by many the greatest handball goalkeeper of all time, as well as articles on chronic Achilles tendon pain and posterior ankle impingement.
