The fifth Targeted Topic presented by the Aspetar Sports Medicine Journal focuses on Tennis. Our guest editor Dr Ben Kibler is a world-leading expert on sports medicine in tennis, his concept of the ‘kinetic chain’ in tennis had a major impact on how we understand tennis injuries. For this issue, Dr Kibler has assembled a team of world-renowned experts to write on the history of sports medicine in tennis, medical issues, musculoskeletal issues and rehabilitation in tennis. We pick out the highlights of our interviews with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, as well as hearing from Victoria Azarenka in our feature ‘A Word from the Champions’.
