Over the past decade, Aspetar has provided medical expertise at some of the world’s most prestigious competitions, including: Aspetar’s role in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2024 was met with high praise from the FIFAMedical Director, who publicly commended the hospital’s exceptional medical coverage and reaffirmed its status as a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. Among those recognised were Dr. Zied Ellouze and Dr. HichamMouataouakil, Venue Medical Managers at 974 Stadium; Dr. Celeste Geertsema and Dr. Monia Slim, serving at Lusail Stadium; and Dr. Mokhtar Chabane, Deputy Medical Director; all working under the strategic leadership of Dr. Khalid Alkhelaifi, Medical Director for the tournament. FIGWorld Gymnastics Championships 2018, Diamond League Doha, and numerous tennis, golf, swimming, squash, padel, basketball, and equestrian events.
