From the beginning, Aspetar was built around a strategic vision centred on a trulymultidisciplinary approach. We integrated radiology, surgery, sports science, physiotherapy, and performance under one roof. Very early on, we also established the performance component. This created a seamless pathway from diagnosis to treatment, rehabilitation, and performance optimisation. The objective was always to return athletes to the field at their highest possible level, not just to treat injuries. How did this integrated model position Aspetar on the international stage? Through collaboration and evidence-based practice. As we gained experience with national teams and federations, we became fully aligned with global expectations. The Aspetar Model is built on teamwork, scientific rigour, and continuity of care. Today, it influences how elite sport approaches medical and performance management worldwide.
