118 ASPETAR MAGAZINE ASPETAR CHAMPION What advice would you give to young people interested in the world of horses who wish to pursue it as a career? My advice is to start with passion that is supported by knowledge and science. Equestrianism is not based solely on physical strength; it is built on patience, discipline, and strong ethical values. They should also understand that learning in this field is a lifelong journey, and true expertise comes from combining hands-on experience with scientific understanding. What skills should the next generation develop to succeed in equine science and equestrian sport? There are many important skills, but the most essential include understanding horse behaviour from a scientific perspective and developing the ability to accurately read equine body language. Riders must also maintain strong physical fitness, as equestrian sport requires balance, endurance, and control. Equally important is the ability to make quick decisions, particularly under competitive pressure, while maintaining a continuous desire to learn and evolve rather than relying solely on traditional experience. Finally, what message would you like to share based on your personal experience? Do not rush success. Reaching the top through patience is far more sustainable than reaching it through force. Build yourself every day. Allow experiences to shape you, and allow horses to teach you. Wisdom is not given — it is earned. Build yourself every day. Allow experiences to shape you, and allow horses to teach you.
