The World Sports Congress covered several important topics such as hamstring and groin injuries, cartilage surgery, sports cardiology, performance in heat, return to play, and exercise medicine.

The world gathering takes place every two years and brings together a group of internationally renowned experts in sports medicine to share knowledge and expertise.

During the congress, Aspetar received an award of excellence from FIMS and the organising committee for its efforts and valuable contributions to the field of sports medicine and exercise science.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Mohamed Ghaith Al Kuwari, said:

This year’s FIMS Congress has also served as a platform for initiatives such as the Aspetar Young Investigator Award presentations which provide scientists with the opportunity to showcase their outstanding work and valuable contributions to sports medicine.
