Dr. Zainab is the Director of Pharmacy Department. She joined Aspetar since 2009. She obtained Bachelor’s in pharmacy Degree from the Royal of College of Surgeons, Ireland, in 2008. She is a holder of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree from College of Pharmacy in Qatar University in 2018.
Dr. Zainab has extensive experience in different fields in Pharmacy. She is leading, with continuous improvements, the Pharmacy services including inpatient and outpatient services to all patients (athletes and non-athletes), National Sports Medicine Program services provided to athletes in clubs/federations and sporting events, procurement of medications, supply chain and automation optimization and Medication Management processes. She is the Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Subcommittee. She is passionate with continuous education, has led educational activities in addition to being a speaker in many conferences, workshops, etc. She has extensive experience in Quality improvement and patient safety projects. Dr. Zainab’s vision is to promote evidence-based Sports Pharmacy services to support athletes in achieving their goals through a highly qualified Pharmacy Team.
