Sports Psychologists
The Psychology Unit comprises of practitioners who provide both Clinical and Sports Psychology services. The aim of each is to: raise awareness within the athlete's mind of health and performance issues; prepare mental skills related to sports performance; and enhance the athlete response to treatment and rehabilitation. The department provides for athletes of all ages and aims to provide the athlete with mental skills that will compliment their physical ones. Our Psychology practitioners collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide a range of psychological services including: athlete counseling and therapy; psychological testing; mental skills training; team dynamics clinic; and clinical counseling and therapy.
Following detailed evaluations of athletes, our psychologists tailor a individual psychological strategy designed to meet the specific needs of the athlete. An athlete’s privacy and confidentiality are cornerstones of our clinical practice.
